Kibitzer's Corner
May-30-11  ozmikey: Colle spoils a superior position with the inexplicable 37. Qf5??. Maybe he originally banked on 39. Qc8+ Ka7 40. Rd8 (maybe even 38...Rd6?? 39. Rxd6 Qxd6 40. Qxd7!), but then 40...Nf3+ mates.

Earlier he misses a cute forced win by 30. Qb5, viz:

(a) 30...Ree6 31. Rf8 Ne8 32. Nxb6+! and Black must ultimately abandon one of the knights,

(b) 30...Nc4 31. Nc5! when taking the bishop leads to 32. Qa4+ and mate, and 31...Rxc5 32. Bxc5 is obviously hopeless,

(c) (the nicest) 30...Nd7 31. Qxc6!! followed by 32. Rxd7, when Black will surely have to give the queen back to prevent mate, leaving White with a huge material advantage.
