Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-16-07  xrt999: Short's best move would have probably been 32.R1d2, taking away Re2 from black, and maintaining the tension. With 32.Kb3 Short forces things, in black's favor. Black eventually takes on e2 and draws the game.

After 32.R1d2,
32.R1d2 Re3 33.a4 Ra3 34.Rxf7 Ra2+ 35.Kc3 Be5+ 36.Kd3 Rd8+ 37.Rd7 Rxd7+ 38.cxd7 Rxd2+ 39.Kxd2 Kc7 40.Bh3 a6 41.b5 axb5 42.axb5
