Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-13-03  refutor: impressive queenside attack by alekhine...great example of strong play by black in the open lopez
Mar-29-08  MichAdams: <The finish in My Best Games differs from that in the earlier and more contemporary sources.> In Shakhmatny Vestnik, Alekhine gave the final moves as 36...Qb4! 37.Rc7 Ba4 38.Qf1 Bb5 39.Qd1 Qa4!.

  GrahamClayton: MichAdams,

The Shakhmatny Vestnik article was published in 1915. When Alekhine was working on "My Best Games, 1908-1923", he found the "prettier" version which is the game quoted in full above.

There are at least a dozen Alekhine games where the moves have been either altered or omitted by Alekhine over a period of time.

Dec-19-12  SaVVy66: i still a tough fight for white.. only if he can grab b2 pawn
Jan-29-21  Stolzenberg: 16. Nb3 invited the black pawn to proceed to c4. Perhaps 16. dc or 16. Rg3 are better ideas.
