Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-14-13  Everett: Tal crushed everyone in the Riga Interzonal in 1979. Larsen was nearly keeping pace with him, scoring 7.5/10 after ten rounds, just a half point off Tal's blistering start. Then came three consecutive zeros for Larsen, and only 1.5/6 before finishing with a win. This is the last game of his losing slide, round 16.

Adorjan's 12.c5 and 13.b4 keep the pressure on, and Larsen is unable to find the moves to keep him in the game.

Aug-14-14  Howard: Gligoric analyzed this game in his "Game of the Month" column in Chess Life, back in either late 1979 or early 1980.
