fredthebear: A forgotten king hunt. Anand picks the bones clean. The Rh1 never moves. (If 30.RxBh3 Qxg4+ and the White knights hang.)

1992 was the inaugural year for this event (rapid and blindfold tournament named after the sponsor's daughter), won by Vassily Ivanchuk. The following year, Ljubomir Ljubojevic was the overall winner, and Viswanathan Anand was overall winner in 1994.

perfidious: Just sent on correction slips for a number of games between these players--it seems Joop van Oosterom enjoyed having both players in Melody Amber, as they were in this gig, year after year.

Even after Ljubojevic fell from the world group of elite players, he gave full value with his style.
