Sep-13-03  bunti: Here is a game featuring the muzio gambit in the king's gambit opening where white offers to sacrifice the knight in order to gain an advantage in development. although i rarely get to play this line as white it is definitely one of the most exciting and if black doesnt know what they are doing white wins quickly and easily. here black foolishly does not accept the offer. In this game black's 15th and 16th moves cost him the game. Black hasnt even had the opportunity to move his knight off the back rank. Pretty combination.
Jul-14-04  arifattar: Why is Adolf Anderssen playing like NN in all these games?
Jul-14-04  acirce: Because he was that bad.
Oct-26-04  Apocalypse79: Two knights' move in the center is beautiful and stable..
Oct-20-05  Averageguy: Picturesque knights!
Sep-10-06  takattack: I am interested in how many of these zukertort/anderssen games were casual games or where they in a tourney format. Played at Breslau 1865. Some of the great Morphy Anderssen KG games were skittle games and I wonder if this is the same. A real treat is to walk through these two players KGA games
Aug-19-12  master of defence: What happens after 25...Kb6?
Aug-20-12  thomastonk: <master> I think 25..Kb6 is an illegal move (Bf2).
