These f4 lines against the Kan/Paulsen are interesting and score well for White. Here Black has a powerful battery against e4 and potentially against the White King. Note after Fritz's book ends, the next evaluation is already [+-] which suggests this variation is a winner for White. The exchange sacrifice 20. Rhxf3 gets rid of Black's better Bishop, then the Be7 has little scope. The Pe5 and Pf5 provide nice compensation, along with the insecure position of Black's King. One finish would be 28 ... Bxf6 29. Qxf6+ Kc7 30. Qd6+ Kc8/Kd8 31. Qxd7#, or 28 ... Qc7/Qc8/Qe6 29. Rxd7+ Qxd7 30. Nxd7 Kxd7 31. Qf5+ forking the Bg5.
