Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-13-04  kostich in time: Pirc alert! Though Torre will probably be remembered in chess history for losing that incredible game to Pulgayavsky, he was capable of brilliance himself
Mar-03-11  shadowleaf04: Eugene Torre will be remembered in chess history as Asia's First Chess Grandmaster and the first Asian to participate in the Candidates. Further, chess fans will also remember him as Bobby Fischer's second in his match against Boris Spassky in 1992.

In this game, he soundly defeated a GM who has been rated over 2600 and has a win against Anatoly Karpov. Not an easy thing to do!
