After losing a game to the Smith-Morra I am determined to find a way through the complications without declining the gambit. Surprisingly, this is the only game in the database with 8.Bg5, which puts Black in a very uncomfortable position.

Mar-22-09  Ulhumbrus: After 13 e5 Black cannot play 13..dxe5 as then 14 Bxf6 removes the N on f6 which defends the bishop on d7.
