Nov-24-04  Knight13: 38... Kh8 is better than 38... Qc4, I suggest.
Nov-24-04  InspiredByMorphy: <Knight13> Agreed. A suttle but strong move.

  Chessical: <Knight13> But after <38... Kh8> he is a N+2P down with no compensation, as the Nb7 can go to d6 or c5.
Jul-24-07  JG27Pyth: 38...Kh8 is hopeless. It's worse than 'no compensation' -- the position is busted. IMO Black could have resignd after the beautiful 35. Rxg6! Note the smothered mate threat if the rook is accepted. (And I found it all by myself... no computer assistance...*pats self on back*)

35...fxg6?
36. ♕xe6+ ♔h8 (♔f8? 37.♕f7#)
37. ♘f7+ ♔h7
38. ♘h6++ ♔h8
39. ♕g8+! ♖xg8
40. ♘f7#
