Jul-29-08  chocobonbon: Nice game by Lajos practically forcing the Knight sac by Stoltz by exploiting the congestion of Black's Pieces & then following up relentlessly. White never lost the iniative in this one. Should Black have sought play with his Rooks on the Queenside to gain some space? This looks almost like a "self-loss". Comment from a stalwart, please.
Jul-29-08  sleepkid: Awful play by Stoltz. I would agree with your comment that it looks like a "self-loss". If he was to get any sort of counter play in this game, he needed to get the Queenside moving. Instead he simply throws away a few pieces on the Kingside.
Aug-08-13  jerseybob: Black's 10..Qe8 seems a litle artificial to me, but the only way to justify it is after 11.d5, playing Nb8! 12.Bxd7,Nxd7 etc. By playing 11..Nd8?!, 12.Bxd7 forces the queen to move again, branding 10..Qe8 as a pure waste of time. After 16.Nh2, black's game is almost a parody of Steinitz, but 16..Nh4 is tantamount to resigning. 16..Nd8, clearing f7 for the rook and f8 for the bishop, and preparing to answer h5 with the ugly Nh8 might hold for awhile.

GrahamClayton: A graphic example of the dangers of a cramped position - no escape squares for the King!
