Kibitzer's Corner
May-29-11  dull2vivid: 25. Be5? – Allowing black to gain the initiative with 25…d5! And black’s rook is more active in the endgame, winning. A better move would have left the game equal.

It is the virtue of the French that the battle over the center is immediate.

8…Ba5 might have been better, looking forward to the a7g1 diagonal, but black’s move is fine anyway.

31… Nf6 requires aptitude – good move. The rest is exploiting the fact that black’s pieces are more actively placed.
