GrahamClayton: Black's 16th move 16..h6? was a mistake, making it easier for Botvinnik to open lines for his attack. Maybe 16..a5 or another move on the Q-side is in order?
Feb-21-12  backrank: One of the easiest to understand Botvinnik games. The final combination starting with 24. Rxg4 and leading to a Queen trap is especially pleasing since the intermediate move 27. Be6+ leads to additional material loss (27. ... Kh8 28. Rxf3 Rxf3 29. Nxg3, and Rxg3 fails to 30. Qh2+).

LIFE Master AJ: Brilliant play by Botvinnik.
Feb-22-12  Paraconti: I know a lot of amateurs who are good at chess and take prizes at minor tournaments without seriously studying the game. Some even beat national level players. And I know a lot of them who work for hours at it and dream of becoming GMs but simply can't get any better. The former are usually well-rounded, likeable people. The latter are frustrated, socially backward and often take offense at the slightest perceived criticism.

dernier loup de T: Paraconti, sorry but I could not guess easily if you are speaking about Botvinnik or about Alatortsev?
Aug-14-17  Toribio3: Marvelous game by Botvinnik!
