  James Demery: A drawish game between these two giants.
May-02-09  AnalyzeThis: Even though it was only an extra doubled pawn, Botvinnik still had to know what he was doing to go into this endgame a pawn down against Lasker.

Feb-17-11  KingG: <chancho> Thanks for the link. There is something almost magical about seeing a picture of Lasker, who played against Steinitz, playing Botvinnik, who played against Fischer and taught Kasparov.

  Mateo: A lucky escape for Botwinnik. 26...Qd7? was just bad, losing a pawn. 27.cxd5! was strong as 27...Nxd5? Qg4+!, White wins. However, Botvinnik was able to build a fortress.

26...Qxd3+ also looks drawish after 26...Qxd3+ 27. Qxd3 Nxd3 28. cxd5.
