keypusher: A strikingly unambitious Round 24 game by Bronstein. While this was going on Smyslov was beating Keres and Reshevsky was blowing a clear win against Geller.

Keres vs Smyslov, 1953

Reshevsky vs Geller, 1953

Bronstein doesn't say anything about this game in "Treachery in Zurich." After this round, Smyslov led with 14 1/2 against 14 for Reshevsky, 13 1/2 for Bronstein, and 13 for Keres. Smylov also had the advantage of having already had his bye, unlike the other three. In Round 25 Smyslov beat Reshevsky, Bronstein lost to Geller, and Keres had his bye.
