Jun-06-14  Candy Man: Bronstein is among the most under-rated players of the post-war era. At the risk of being provocative, I consider Bronstein to be at least equal to Botvinnik.

perfidious: As much as I admire Bronstein's imaginative, fighting style, Botvinnik more than proved his mettle in top-level play, whatever one makes of the fact that he never won a title defence outright. Due to circumstances beyond Botvinnik's control, he did not play a match for the title during his best years, the 1940s.
