Apr-26-05  WorldChampeen: Znosko-Borovsky errs, 24. ...Nb5 loses a move; either absentmindedness or more likely, it's the alignment and triangulation of Chigorin's pieces...it certainly gets confusing, appearing even to get Znosko-Borovsky. Early in his Chess career; however it appears he won the first game between the 2 in 1902.

I would wager Znosko-Borovsky's Scandinavian Open is exemplary ...

  GrahamClayton: 13...0-0-0 would be premature, due to 14..♘e5 ♗xe2 15. ♕xe2, and now 15...♖xd4 loses the Knight after 16. ♘f3.

After 15...♘xf1 Chigorin could play 16. dxc6 ♘d2 17. cxb7 ♘xf3+ 18. ♕xf3 ♖d8 19. ♕c6+ ♖d7 20. ♕xa6 ♕xa6 21. b8=♕+ ♖d8 22. ♕g3.
