Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-09-03  refutor: nice mating net set up in the middle of the board. i believe that Black could have won quicker with 34. ... Qg3+ but the text wins regardless :)
Aug-05-13  iamdeafzed: <i believe that Black could have won quicker with 34. ... Qg3+>

34...Qg3+ 35.Ke4. How does black continue? (35...Qf4+ 36.Kd3; 35...f5+ 36.gxf5,gxf5+ 37.Kd4). 35.Kd4 would also possibly allow white to escape, so that response would have to be calculated by black as well.

The text, by comparison, is far simpler to calculate and an obvious win: 35.Qxc2,Qf3+ 36.Kd4,Qe3#. Other alternatives for white on move 35 drop his queen.

Aug-05-13  Nerwal: 34... ♕g3+ 35. ♔d4 ♗f6+; 35. ♔e4 ♗c6+ (curious symmetry).
Aug-05-13  iamdeafzed: <34... Qg3+ 35. Kd4 Bf6+; 35. Ke4 Bc6+ (curious symmetry).> Fair enough! Looks obvious now in hindsight.
Jul-14-18  edubueno: 24 Ag5??? es un error de bulto. Mucho más fácil, por ejemplo 24 Ae4! y las blancas tienen ventaja.
