Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-15-03  suenteus po 147: Too bad! Fontein could have mixed things up with 26.Bh6. True, there are a couple of strong replies by moving the knight and so forth, but you save the bishop, create an opportunity to win your pawn back and some change, and momentarily put the great Dr. Euwe on the defensive. There's something so awful in chess about missed opportunities.
Jun-15-03  drukenknight: it looks like he should have started to exchange as soon as that pawn was doubled. He had the R on the move; what about 16 Bg4?
Jun-16-03  caseyclyde: Looks like 16. Bg4 loses two bishops for a rook after NxB
Jun-17-03  drukenknight: what line are you looking at? if white loses 2B for a Rook then maybe things are equal since white has 7 connected pawns vs 6.
