tpstar: Wild game. White goes up 2 pieces in a simul, yet Black has some Queenside pressure and advanced Pawns. But instead of giving back a piece to defend and close lines (27. Bb3 Qb6 28. Ra4 a5 29. Rha1), White drops 2 pieces (27. Bxc4?! Qxc4 28. Rxa7?? Qd4+ 29. Kb1 Qxa7) then still pulls it out.

tpstar0-hugolanda (Yahoo 8/27/04): 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 f5!? 3. Nxe5 Qf6 4. d4 d6 5. Nc4 fe 6. Nc3 Qg6 7. Ne3 Bd7 8. Be2 (8. Bc4 c6 9. d5) Nf6 9. Ncd5 Kd8 (9 ... Nxd5?? 10. Bh5) 10. Jan-04-10  Nullifidian: That is one hell of a game. It wouldn't make a bad Thursday or Friday puzzle starting with White's mate in 9, 34. ♘f6+!.

There are several ways for the mate to play out, but this is my favorite. During the course of this line, White sacs two pawns, one knight, and rook to mate:

34. ♘f6+! ♗xf6 35. ♕xe8+ ♔xg7 36. ♖h7+! ♔g6 37. ♕xf7+ ♔f5 38. ♕e6+ ♔xf4 39. ♕xf6+ ♔e3 40. ♖e7+ ♕e4 41. ♖xe4+!! ♔xe4 42. ♕f3#

Here's the final position:
