Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-27-07  mannetje: This is a Grünfeld, not a King's Indian Defence.
Aug-27-07  RookFile: Vintage Karpov endgame play.
Aug-27-07  Karpova: It's called Schlechter's defense, isn't it? (Reinfeld calls the king's side fianchetto and c6-d5 that way)
Aug-27-07  euripides: The exchanges on moves 15-17 look as if they weaken white's pawn structure, but in the long run, if Black cannot prevent c4, it's the other way round. The isolation of Black's c pawn costs the game, not because it falls, but because it is easier to blockade far up the board than White's king's side majority. All very instructive.

Tabanus: This round 6 game, scheduled for March 2, was postponed because Karpov was "indisposed". It was played on March 3rd.
