  zydeco: For some reason (maybe it comes out of KID-type structures), there were several games in this tournament (like this one: Lipnitsky vs Petrosian, 1950) with locked pawn structures and maneuvering all across the board. This seems to be a popular type of position in the early '50s.

I think the queen trade (49....Qd7) helps white here.
