  zydeco: Ok, so if 28....f4 29.Bxc5 Nxc5 30.Rxc5+ bxc5 31.Qxc5+ Kd7 32.Bb5+. 28....Qf6 opens up the e7 square for black's king. But 28....Rf6 seems like a better solution, protecting the c5 pawn. If 29.f4 fxe4 30.fxe5 Nxe5.

Probably 29....fxe4 is ok for black. 29....Re8 is a blunder, depriving the king of a flight square. Qa7+ isn't a threat of the black king can go to e8.
