Oct-18-07  RookFile: These guys must have disliked each other, Chigorin could have safely resigned 30 moves before he did.
Oct-18-07  Shams: why not 24.Bc4<?> that looks like what Chigorin prepared but he decided to sac the bishop. Looks safe and forced to me. Am I missing a tactic?

What did you find after 22. Bxc4 b5, attacking the pinned bishop?
Oct-18-07  Shams: <beatgiant> I found that I shouldn't post at one in the morning. :)
Oct-18-07  underdoggum: doesnt 9. Bxf7+ win a pawn after a knight check and queen takes bishop?
Oct-18-07  underdoggum: wait, i meant 10. Bxf7+ -- after the black bishop relatively pins white
Oct-19-07  Shams: <underdoggum> nope. 10.Bxf7+ Kxf7 11. Ne5+? Nxe5 or 12. Ng5+? Qxg5
Oct-19-07  Shams: should read "or 11.Ng5+? Qxg5 " obviously
