Nov-06-05  CeeFoR: What an end game!
Oct-05-06  Tenderfoot: This game has it all! An underpromotion, en passant, the full package. Not to mention it goes on like 3 moves past any chance of black winning or drawing.

zydeco: Strange that Marshall was in such a rush to get to a king-and-pawn endgame. Seems like it should be a draw if he keeps bishop and knight on the board.....at least I don't see how white makes progress.

More like 38, if you ask me. :-D

Jul-28-13  syracrophy: Marshall could have followed the same idea of Capablanca after 10...♗d7! as in the famous game Janowski vs Capablanca, 1916.
Jul-28-13  JoergWalter: <syracrophy: Marshall could have followed the same idea of Capablanca after 10...Bd7! as in the famous game Janowski vs Capablanca, 1916.>
