Oct-19-09  birthtimes: Tal before Tal?! Two sacrifices and another one offered by good ole Roland in this game...and to make it even more interesting, Petrosian's first 6 moves of a game he played were the same as Roland's 27 years later!

whiteshark: On a rainy day I would have chosen <19...Bxh2+>.
Oct-19-09  birthtimes: What a crazy continuation one line is after 19...Bxh2+ 20. Kxh2 Nxg4+ 21. Qxg4 Rxf2 22. Ne5 Rxb2? 23. Bxh7+ Kf8 24. Rf1+ Nf6 25. e7+ Ke8 26. Qxg7 Nxh7??? 27. Rf8+ Nxf8 28. Qxf8#

BTW, I see that Capa (as White) also played Roland Henry Vaughn (Bon) Scott in 1919, with a similar opening, so perhaps this is how RHVS came to use the opening in this game...
