Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-08-07  linux fan: Interesting game. Black gives up a pawn in the early middlegame (18...b5) and white boldly hangs on to it, allowing an attack against his king. But Chucky seems to be there just in time for the defense, cleverly bringing over his pieces with 24. Be1 and later Rh2. The ending with a pawn up should be winning for white, but it isn't that easy, and Ivanchuk plays the very nice 61 b4!. Now if black takes, then 62 Rb3 with the idea of Rb7-h7 capturing the h6 pawn and promoting white's own h-pawn.
Aug-27-19  Whitehat1963: I played this through with Stockfish, and it took more than 30 more moves to reach an unbeatable position.
