Kibitzer's Corner
May-16-08  YouRang: Ouch. This went from a game that black could easily have won to a freebie for white.

On move 28, black faced this position:

And black wins after 28...c2! 29.Qd2 <he can't permit ...d2> Qxd2 30.Rxd2 Rb4! <and the threat of ...Rb1 is deadly ... for example:> 31.Kf2 Rb1 32.Nxc8 Rxc1 33.Rxd3 Rf1+! 34.Kxf1 c1=Q+ <winning>

But black played <28...Rc6> and things were evened up when Kamsky found the brilliant <31.f5!>.

Finally, black gave it away with 33...Qd8?? giving white a nice Mondayish-puzzle queen-sac mate.
