Black would reply 34...Bxe4 with an easy draw. White wins a pawn with 35. Bxg7, but there is no way to create a passed pawn, Black has no weakness, and there are bishops on opposite colors.

Pretty cool format. Nakamura said he likes it better than 960. It is standard chess and connects with the rich game history.
