  Honza Cervenka: Chess looks so simple and logic game when Karpov plays it. He even did not bother to take the Knight (35...Rxe3 was possible) not to spoil the continuation of his winning plan.

  thegoodanarchist: Honza you are so right - Karpov is like Botvinnik 2.0, if I may use an analogy from the computer age.

Logical, positional play by Karpov. He establishes his Rook into Sinakov's position, and when forced into a trade he replaces the Rook with Bishop. The future World Champion then uses his advantage of piece activity to force the decisive passer. Very instructive play by Tolya.
