Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-05-04  Everett: After 20.Nf5! a white knight is landing on d6 no matter what. Some strong positional chess from Larsen, who grinds down Karpov. Little counterplay in this one.
Jul-03-09  Knight13: Which means 18...e5 was needed.

13...Bb7 is better.

Dec-24-14  Brian.elkhoury: This seems like home preparation to me.
Dec-24-14  Jim Bartle: Home preparation wasted on a blitz game?
Dec-25-14  Brian.elkhoury: Oh didn't notice it was blitz. Still it could be prepared at home.

fearlessone: I dont see why you wouldnt want to to play home preperation when guy has name of Karpov with terrible score against him at the time and travelling to another country it would be worth it to play in the tournament. How many time he play Karpov 22 times on the chessgames in database in his lifetime and if blitz it would save you time on the clock and not like he had a world chess championship match after this tournament.

carpovius: Not typical chess of Karpov even in blitz game.
