  whiteshark: After <18.h4?> I wonder, why Karpov didn't grab the central pawn with <18...cxd4>?

Mar-31-09  TommyC: I looked at this briefly with Rybka. 18...cxd4 closes the centre, so white can just continue attacking on the kingside with 19.h5. However, if 19.h5 after the game continuation, then 19...Rxd4 is clearly better for black.
