Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-31-04  acirce: Nice game. Bareev was clearly better after Kasparov's typical knight sacrifice but failed to find the right solutions to score the full point.
Mar-31-04  Bobsterman3000: Does anyone know why Kasparov doesn't play the King's Indian defense very much anymore? He hasn't played it in high volume much in more than 5 years, as far as I can tell.
Mar-31-04  Resignation Trap: Kasparov hasn't played the King's Indian much after this game: Kramnik vs Kasparov, 1997
Mar-31-04  Benjamin Lau: It seems several conceptual developments in the later 90's helped white break through the flanks more effectively, making black's job of finding counterplay difficult. See the annotations to Jeroen Piket vs Kasparov, 1997 for instance.
