  samvega: e.g. 33..g6 34.Rxc8+ Kg7 35.Rc7, and white is a piece plus pawns ahead
Mar-12-11  jagoblit: Why did black refuse to trade queens on e4 28) ... Qxe4?
Feb-05-12  hedgeh0g: Because after 28...Qxe4 29.Bxe4, White has a clearly superior endgame with an extra pawn, active pieces and better king while Black's knight is stranded.
Jun-29-13  zanzibar: 20...c5?! is the start of the troubles, 20...Rd8 is better (or 20...Qg5).

Critter gives 28...Qxe4 as best for Black, but it's still .

32.Qxc8+ is completely winning, but Critter gives 32.Qd4 as better by a pawn (it also leads to simplification, just not so dramatic). The e- and c-file passed pawns are too much for Black to handle.

Black really payed the price of leaving the knight on the rim too long. Playing the knight out one move earlier, 12...Nh6, is worth considering (Black gets more K-side play, restricting White's queen's Q-side play).

Mar-17-14  rjsolcruz: Had I reach the position, I would have played 32 Rc8. But Kasparov is Kasparov!
Dec-02-16  clement41: An easy-to-miss blow from Kaspy!
Jan-15-17  ColeTrane: ...yusupov to be my friend....
