Aug-21-12  LoveThatJoker: "16. ?" White to play and win, would make for a good Wednesday puzzle.

LTJ

Aug-21-12  Octal: 12 ... Nxf4 was the losing move, i.e. 15 ... h5 15 Qd3+ Kh6 16 e6.

Although 12 ... Be7 13 Qd2 is comfortable for white. Black has to play 13 ... Nxf4 if he wants to resolve the pressure on h6, but then there's 14 Rxf4 Rf8 15 Raf1, followed eventually by placing a rook on f7.

The whole 11 ... Nh5 plan is erroneous.
