Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-28-05  DeepBlade: Nice fork, winning the Knight!
Oct-28-05  Averageguy: <DeepBlade>It doesn't just win the knight, it mates after 10...Kf8 11.Qxh5+ Ke8 12.Qh5+ Kf8 13.Qf7#
Oct-29-05  DeepBlade: thanks Avarageguy,

I was thinking about the direct Qf7++ but the Knight was preventing that, but after the fork, the Knight is taken. So we just return to the same position without the Knight defence, which I didnt bother to analyze, thought this game was to show the trap, and not the mate.

Aug-27-07  wolfmaster: 10.? Monday puzzle.
Aug-27-07  Silverstrike: Doesn't 9.Nxg5 win?
Aug-27-07  Chicago Chess Man: <Silverstrike> After 9. Nxg5 Bg4 10. Nf3 Bx white's only won his pawn back. 9. Nh2 frees up the h5 square and prevents 9. ...Bg4. Black could play 9...g4 instead, but then he allows 10. Bxf4.
Aug-28-07  Silverstrike: <Chicago Chess Man> Thanks! :)
