  Chnebelgrind: The only game of the second Clare Benedict Cup on cg.com. There is no game at all of the first venue in 1953 which also took place on mount Pelerin near Vevey. Un site très apprécié par les touristes qui offre une vue splendide sur le Léman au-dessus du vignoble vaudois. C'est la forte équipe de Hollande (Euwe, Donner, Kramer, Cortlever et Mühring qui a emporté la coupe "Clare-Benedict" devant l'Autriche, la Suisse (Christoffel, Grob , Blau, Lob et Kupper), la France , l'Italie et la Belgique. Le GM Nicolas Rossolimo, d'origine russe, champion de France 1948, réalisa une bonne performance au 1er avec 4 points sur 5 et obtint même une victoire contre l'ex-champion du monde Max Euwe."
