May-22-08  gambitking: Wow. I'm an intense practitioner of the King's gambit, but I never would have allowed so many king moves or apparent positional weaknesses. I guess I just didn't look far enough ahead...

I like the kings gambit too, but conventional declination with 2...d5 made me think up the line 3.Nc3 d4 4.Nd5 c6 5. Nc7+ see Milner-Barry vs Keres, 1937 for my argument that this line is sound w/<whiteshark>
Mar-03-13  hyperactivemodernist: Amazing game. Gallagher looked like he was in trouble after 8...Bxh4, but tactics kept him alive long enough to prevail.
