Fabrizio Zavatarelli notes:

Kolisch vs (Bad?) Gastein - Correspondence?, 1857?

It is hard to know whether Kolisch was acquainted with that game, published in the Schachzeitung 1851, page 49.

ILN 25 June 1859 ("Game played at Vienna between Messrs. KOLISCH and GASTEIN." As this is the only coeval source, maybe some Victorian proofreading erased the inconvenient "Bad" from "Bad Gastein").

More sources: Levy & O'Connell 1981 page 285. Kalendovsky 1987 page 7 (unabridged). JWD 02791.
