Jul-30-04  InspiredByMorphy: By move 26 white has sacrificed 3 pawns! Although up in material, development is the name of the game, and Koltanowski uses it to his advantage to win.
Jul-30-04  InspiredByMorphy: Could black have tried 4. ... d4 or is this a waste of tempo? It does stop whites d4 , but Im not sure if its enough to be considered a playable response.

Chessical: <InspiredByMorphy> Interesting idea, but it is diffcult in that line to develop Black's K-side, e.g:

<4...d4> 5.axb4 Nc6 6.Nf3 Bf5 (I cannot believe that taking the b pawn when you have no development is any good) 7.Bc4...

Aug-10-05  SneechLatke: Stupid Wing Gambit. *grumble*
Sep-17-06  think: What do you have against the wing gambit <SneechLatke>? It is better than the Smith-Morra gambit, I believe.
