  Fusilli: I was surprised to see 28.bxc5. On second thought, however, the black a-pawn is weak, the black bishop gets buried on b8, and the black rooks are shooting blanks on the d-file. Still, I am not sure what Panno's plan was going to be if Korchnoi hadn't blown up the position with 31...f5.

I was also puzzled by 31.Raa1. What's the idea? Did Panno really see everything coming and wanted to have the ability to take the knight on e1 on move 41 with that rook?
