  perfidious: It is indeed unusual to see Korchnoi playing Black in a KID, and it was a surprise to see that he essayed it against Portisch on other occasions during that time. It is possible he was avoiding Portisch's legendary opening preparation; moreover, Portisch was an opponent who always gave Viktor the Terrible difficulty.
