59. Rxc8 <Rh4> and Black eliminates the h-pawn, with a book draw (true, White can torture Black for a long time after).

I see nothing wrong with 63...a4. But with the move in the game, Black aims to trade knight for bishop and eliminate all possible winning chances for White.

May-12-19  saturn2: <beatgiant> Good analysis. White can avoid the exchange of B for N after 63..Kc7 by moving his king or bishop. But then 64..Nc6 covers the pawn a5 and the position gets again drawish.

And after the gameline 64..Nc6 white cannot avoid the K+B fork. If for example 65 Rd5 then 65...Nb4 is a K+R fork.
