Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-19-06  Karpova: A comical ending: The black rook is trapped after Bc4. Monticelli was keen on trading his knight against a bishop which is quite understandable but i think the simple 25...Nd5 would have been much better than the grave error committed in this game.
Nov-19-06  TrueFiendish: If 29...Ra2 30 Rc8 wins as the white queen has swung to d4, ruling out ...Qd5.
Nov-20-06  Karpova: Yes, you are right. 30.Rc8 is the deadly threat and all black can do is sacrificing his rook on f2 so resigning is the best option.
