Feb-07-02  bishop: If black held on to his a pawn,white would have won by placing his rooks on a8 and c8,trading the four rooks and then picking up the a pawn with his king.

  Fusilli: <bishop> The two rooks on a8 and c8 would win at once, wouldn't they? I think White would win material.

It's hard to say where Najdorf went wrong. Perhaps trading a rook was a bad idea, or perhaps he should have tried to avoid a b-passer, but that looked pretty much impossible.

  NM JRousselle: 36 Kg7 looks like the error. Kf8 with the idea of going to e7, guarding the d8 Rook may hold.
Oct-01-13  jerseybob: 6..Bg4 is a poor move, forcing white to play the favorable 7.f3, bolstering his center. There are several better alternatives. Fuderer was a great talent, who could've gone further.
