zydeco: Polugayevsky's exchange sacrifice with 22....Rxe3 is poorly-judged.
Jun-25-18  anandrulez: I think it was desperate because of the enormous pressure.

Retireborn: Averbakh blows the win with 36.Rxb6 - after 36...Nxe4! 37.Bxe4 Rxe4 38.Rxf7+ Qxf7 39.Qxe4 Polu could have snatched a draw with 39...Qd7! Then 40.a5 Qd1+ is perpetual, while if 40.Rxc6 Be3+ 41.Qxe3 Qxc6 White will be unable to advance his Q-side pawns because of the threat of...Qg2 mate.

A win was there with 36.a5!! (Houdini)
