Jun-28-10  sicilianhugefun: ZUGZWANG!!!
Dec-29-14  poorthylacine: Black has no better answer than 44...Nc6, then 46.h6! decides the game... A very nice positional victory of Spassky.
Apr-06-15  A.T PhoneHome: Here Spassky has a positional battle against Lajos Portisch who, as it happens, received his Grandmaster Title this same year, 1961. Portisch was known for his positional style which led people to compare him to Mikhail Botvinnik.

After 26.Rxe7 things tone down which would be more typical of Spassky in the 60's.

Pretty game!

Jul-08-17  Baby Hawk: Andrew Soltis in his book "Rethinking the chess pieces" uses this game to illustrate the strength of the R&B over R&N with Black having pawns on the color of the bishop.
