Kibitzer's Corner
May-16-16  jerseybob: I don't see what's wrong with 36.Be7. After 36..Kf7 not 37.Bd8??,Nb7, but 37.Bd6,Bd6 leaves black with the distant passer, but I don't see a forced win.
Sep-14-21  TheBish: 36. Bxe7(=) is the engine's choice, but also showing equality after 36. Nd7 Bf6 37. Be6 Nc4. However, after 36. Bxe7 Kf7 37. Bd8 Nb7, White has 38. Nd7, counterattacking the Be5 and creating flight squares for his own bishop. But also 37. Nd5 is possible earlier, simply defending the Be7.
