I cannot tell you how much this game has helped me in understanding how to play the Black side of positions like this.

6 ... d7-d6

13 ... ♖f8-e8

The Black play here is reminiscent of the <Chigorin Ruy Lopez(!)>, with the 7 ... ♘c6-a5, 8 ... c7-c5, 9 ... ♕d8-c7, 12 ... ♘a5-c6 maneuvring.

I played a game at one of my clubs last night ( in which I had really no good idea of what to do in the positon above after 6 ... d7-d6. I tried to play some ... ♔g8-h8, ... ♘f6-e8, ... f7-f5 crap but it did not work out all that well.

May-27-09  Shams: so what did you learn about it? I'm curious.

I learned what to do!
