Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-12-07  Karpova: In severe time trouble both masters blunder:

30.Rd1?? would lose to 30...Be3 on the spot (c2 is the weak spot) but with 30...Be4?? Black misses the chance.

Emanuel Lasker mentions time pressure as the reason for those two blunders in the tournament book ("Das Grossmeister-Turnier im Kerkau-Palast zu Berlin")

K Any: The Donaldson/Minev book on Rubinstein attaches an ! to 30...Be4 saying that Black now threatens Be3. At least the 1st edition does, I wonder if the 2nd edition was corrected.

nizmo11: This was corrected in the second edition of Donaldson/Minev. They also refer to the Lasker's comment in the tournament book.
